The Glory Days

I will remember these days as “The Glory Days”

I know there is a lot of chaos and uncertainty in the world…

But over here, I have been quiet. I’ve kept my head down and stayed focused on my goals. I’ve used this time to hone my craft, build my team and take advantage of opportunities.

Recently, I’ve had some incredible moments in my career, that I won’t soon forget.

If you only knew (and some of you do!) how hard I fought to get here (behind the scenes of social media).

All the failures, all the self-doubt, the personal struggles, the times when I had lost my way completely… All the junior (ha! get it?) roles I’ve taken, all the times I’ve screwed up, not gotten paid, been called out… all of it.

Maybe it would have been easier if I would have done it differently the last 11.5 years? Sometimes I do wonder.

But the victory wouldn’t be as sweet. That I am sure of.

Because I am familiar with the fact that these wins (like all wins) are temporary… I’m going to enjoy every last drop of them!

I give thanks to the creator for her partnership. To me: for putting in the work and never giving up on myself.

I acknowledge the support of every single person who supported me along the way:

To all of my mentors — official and unofficial (I’ve learned so much from so many of you over the years!)

To the people who put up with my temperamental ways ~

To everyone who gave me opportunities,

And even everyone who didn’t believe in me, who didn’t hire me, who got the client I didn’t get, who grew their business 10X bigger than me…
